WEEK THREE HITLER TRIVIAPosted by Joan Francis in NSDAP , NAZI , NATINAL SOCIALIST |
Week Two Winner—Answer
Robert L submitted the correct answer: The correct name of Hitler’s political party was:
National Socialist German Workers’ Party.
He will receive a free copy of Silent Coup.
In original German the name was Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei. Hence the acronym: NSDAP. After they seized power people in Germany did not dare to call them Nazis but rather National Socialist.
Which brings us to:
Week Three Question.
If Hitler’s political party was called the National Socialist, does this mean that Hitler campaigned on a platform of pro-socialism? If not what was his main talking point? (Those who have heard my talk on Hitler’s seizure of power or have read Silent Coup, will know this. Other’s may need a text book because this is not something they taught us in school. Nor is it something many of our Journalist have learned.) Good Luck. The prize is a copy of Silent Coup. Email your answer to: diana@joanfrancis.net
